Evaluation of 3D Time-Reversal Focusing Method in Microwave Hyperthermia Treatment: Head and Neck Tumors

In this paper we present time reversal focusing technique for hyperthermia treatment of deep seated tumors in 3D. This method which presented for 2D case has advantages of being fast and applicable to both continuous and pulsed waves. The quantitative evaluation of performance indica- tors in hyperthermia treatment is performed on a 3D model of head and neck, containing a tumor in tongue.
