MANAGING PRODUCTION COMPLEXITY BY SUPPORTING COGNITIVE PROCESSES IN FINAL ASSEMBLY
Paper i proceeding, 2014

Managing complexity in final assembly includes understanding and supporting the operators cognitive processes. In this paper three models for information handling and decision-making are combined. The relevance and use of the combined behavioural characteristics are discussed in industrial and experimental cases. The cases show how cognitive processes is investigated and supported to manage production complexity, thereby increasing operator performance and decreasing cost.
